Yea, I am wondering if I were cutting 10 bu beans with a 30' head on an R65 if the 'puter would keep telling me to lower the head into the crop! Sounds like some nifty features on the new monitoring system! I'm still waiting for vital information (ground speed, rpms, pacer, etc) to be projected right onto the window though. Tom langan

I second the motion with the windshield display. What happen to GM's version on their carsIJ It seems like everyone wants it and I don't see the problem with putting it on. Sure would be another nice feature for the list of Gleaner exclusives!

If we are talking wish lists i sure would like to see Agco change there flex heads, the skid plates especially, our local dealer here made some changes to them and now we can cut short beans, what a difference, Agco reps were out and thought it was great but they haven't done anything at the factory. I'd also like to see the clean grain and tailings elevator adjustable at the bottom on ground level too. Sure hope Agco is listening about the flex heads here.

The problem was we did a very poor job of cutting short beans the way the head was from the facotry, it left them ragged looking and no matter how we set the head it would never cut low enough either, always left too high of stubble after we cut so our dealer took the skid shoes off and cut off about half to three quarters of an inch off the top then cut the hold downs off and moved them back just a bit which in turn gives us much lower cutting, it leaves a beautiful job in any size soybeans now, if you need anymore information let me know here or email me and our dealer can maybe send you some pictures and explain to you better what exactly was done but what a huge difference, its like a completely different head now.

Head Up Displays [ HUD's ] in combines! I am old enough to have done a one man harvest on an old ground driven pull type combine with extension steering. The tractor was steered from the combine through a long shaft and universal joints with a rope operated clutch. No hydraulics either, just an "armstrong" lift for the front with a big lever. I still flinch when a large swirl of chaff and dust belts itself up against the windows of the 65. Bugger the"Good Old Days"! They can have em! Bring on the HUD's and all the other goodies!

I'd be happy to see a picture of what you or Hibred did. If you and or Hibred would get pictures to HYPER MOD site we'd all be happy. Thanks

I'll try my best to get you some pictures, the dealer here in Ontario that did all the work and designing has a 30' head in the works right now, see if i can get a few pictures for you all. Please bear with me as this will be the first time i have done this so it might take me some doing. Agco reps should have pictures of this already and i sure hope they get on the bit and do something about this quickly at the factory. Email me if i can help you anymore.
