Combines overhauling 433T

hmmm, whyIJ some failureIJ This eng is good for 5-6 thou hours minimum. Did it get hotIJ If so have the head pressure tested, do NOT have it 'tanked' as it has orings and cummins style injector sleeves. We usually never replace the cone_cup idler gear brg, was there a problemIJ There are two different compression ratios, contact dealer for the bulletin on comp ratio and inj tip size. Measure the cam brgs, they are not pressure lubed, unless the front cam brg is egg shaped it is a waste of money. Make sure to get the balancer timed properly - easy to do if you have the book.

tbran, Thanks, I am estimating that it has 6500 - 7000 hours, it started burning qt of oil every 5 hours last half of the season. Bad rings on hole n1 and all the valve are scrap steel. Use this maching for research plots and can not afford for it to be broke down during season. Good winter project. We were planning on leaving the injector sleeves alone. Planning on replacing idler bearings, and cam bearing because I am right there. What better time.

geez, that is a different story. I think you win the prize, I have rarely seen that many hours on any combine I can remember - and they still be running. In this case REAllY inspect, no replace the balancer bushings as well as wrist pin bushings. look at the cam lobes_lifters close. We see wear at the 6000 hour mark and cupping of lifters. Many low hour cams available. RandR brass bushing in fuel pump snout as well. Check radial play in turbo. MAke sure sleeve stand out is above block and equal among sleeves. Replace wear ring on flywheel as well as rear main seal.

Is jtb Jim Briening from TA SeedsIJ If so I know that machine. Pump was done over about 1,500 hours ago. Your estimated engine hours should be very close.
