You're right, it would help. But, unfortunately you are typing your B.S. so a pair of handcuffs would be more appropriate in this situation. Sorry, buddy! You walked right into that one! lOl!!

Good point Illinois, love that. I was at a farm auction 2 years ago and a green one at that. Had a couple friends who know we run the Silver machines so they were joking around saying yeah I bet that 9610 would bring alot more than your silver one, then asked my opinion. I said I figured it would bring around 75,000. It had duals, bin extensions, chaff spreader, most of the toys of that year. Yup it brought 75,600 and had 1200 engine hrs. I didnt glut, they just ate crow. Then I go and buy a second silver machine last fall 1995 R-62 for 75,000 with 2500 engine hrs. I know that sounds steep for the year, but as most of the guys that run gleaners on here I do have enough confidence in it that it will get my crops out in a speedy order. Im not color blind either, I have terraces and I just dont like the whole idea deere has of taking parts of the chaffer out so it will return on sidehills instead of throwing over. That may work for a short distance but my gleaner I dont even slow down on the side of terraces and I dont have to take parts of my chaffer out on sidehills to make it return, it goes straight to the grain tank were its supposed too.

Dear Sir: I do not usually respond to these posts, but.. Due to your post I have had all my customers trade off all the Gleaners, NH's and CIH's for Deeres. My little boy will now not be able to have the operation so he can walk again. I have had to move in with my mother in law. Now I find the only combine you own is a toy model of a non current Deere. Gee, what power is in the printed word. May you and Aution Pete have a long intimate relationship ...................................

Well said Pete, you hit the nail on the head on what is killing gleaner. I just rode in a 9600 JD and what a vibrating piece of $hit it was . Wouldn't trade our wore out N6 for one of them!!!

The idea is to sell your product for asmuch as people will pay. With that said, threres the answer to your question. You guys will pay what ever it takes to have the biggest Deere out there. Should you guys run into someone with the same model, you then pull down your pants and continue from there. We would rather have something that will last for more then a few years before needing to be auctioned off or get traded in. Take care, Nathan
