Combines Paper or PlasticIJ

We run GVl plastic on JD row units set on 20". Going back to steel wouldn't be an option. The plastic performs well under all conditions we have encountered and always looks good. We even had GVl make our JD plastic in Gleaner gray to hide the ugly green underneath.

Who is GVlIJ Do you have a phone numberIJ I have a A330 black cornhead. I put SlipPlate paint on the snouts this past season. Worked great until it eventually wore off. I do hybrid testing in South Central Illinois and I always seem to have at least one farm that has down corn. In your opinion, would the plastic conversion be worth my costIJ

I wanted to try the poly also, but it only fits the new "Hugger" heads, not any of the previous black or orange heads.

This is not related to post but,I see where you are from near Newton, Il. I bought a tractor from Newton Tractor (Ford dealer) about a year ago. Real nice people to do business with. Tractor was a TW 20. I think it came from somewhere around there. Anyway, sorry for the sidetrack. T3

Yes I have been to Newton. In southern Illinois I have corn and soybean plots near Jewett, Flora, Salem, Vandalia, Belleville, and Du Quoin. I am not far from you when I am travelling from Jewett to Flora. If your interested, our yield results are available at www.agsci.com. 2002 was an excellent year for a broad spectrum of evironments (Very wet then dry weather - some isolated storms, etc..)
