It is called the Axceller kit, made by Steward Steel of Canada. Maurer dealers will have them. looks good to me, and a fraction of CNH price. I guess I am not opposed seems that those Canadian boys are very handy at making good affordable replacement parts for the CNH combines, I know mine have alot of Canadian parts put in them. Go price a Behlen building (both a US made and a Canadian one, compare guages on the steel and tell me which one is better deal... seems to follow with combine parts as well.

Yep, like todd said, it sounds like the Stewart Steel Axceller kit, sold through Maurer dealers in the US. We actually got ours through our Case-IH dealer. We installed this kit on our 2388 this year and loved it. Very quiet now, no feederhouse rumble. Green stemmed soybeans and rice don't pull the engine rpms down as much, we used a little less fuel per acre this year. And it's made out of very thick steel (1_2" maybeIJ),so it should last a long time. I highly recommend this kit. But you need to price it against the AFX. We paid around $1700 for the kit. The AFX rotor is $4500 or so. If your rasp bars are in good shape and rotor isn't worn thin, then the Axceller kit is definitely more cost effective. But if you have to change your rasp bars, if your rotor skin might be worn thin, or the rotor is out of balance, you might be better off buying the AFX rotor then trying to sell your old specialty rotor. You could probably get $1000 out of you old one. So you need to know the condition of your old rotor to be sure what you need to do.

I was aware of the Stewart Steel Axceller, but had forgotten it was available through Maurer. I thought perhaps there might be another company making a screw front. S.S. was to be having one for the 24" rotor this past fall.I don't know if that materialized or not. Thanks for your help.

We are actually the distributor for the Axceller in North and South Dakota, Minn. and Montana and could sure find a dealer in your area that stocks the Axceller.
