We raise wheat, barley, canola and peas in Alberta with a lot of straw and there is no way a 9600_10 will keep up with a STS, unless grain losses are not a consideration, and even then I would be skeptical. As for wear, I won't comment, because we only had 586 sep. hours on the STS. Putting an adjustable chaffer in the STS is a very good improvement--that way the cleaning area is not overloaded so quickly and the returns are not as high.
