Combines pick up guards

les, I used to run them on both a C2 and an l2. Put them about a foot apart, and start in about a foot from the edge of the header so they don't plug there. The ones I had mounted on a guard bolt; changing wasn't a big deal but we would sometimes run them whether the wheat was downed or not. About the biggest down-side is having to swing out and loop around on the corners to avoid them pushing wheat down when you turn sharp. Mine were drop-forged steel for the finger and a pressed steel bracket that enclosed a spring that would let them pivot up about 4 inches or so. Ed in NE Montana

Thanks, for the info, they probably would pay for themselves sooner or later.
