We bought a new 800 Series head this summer and we had the raised feather sheets installed on this head. We have used it in our wheat and I wasn't that impressed with it. But I will wait until we use it in soybeans before I decide if its better than the Johnson Bar. I don't think it will do as good a job keeping the rocks out. As far as better feeding I will have to see it in soybeans to know for sure. I am also concerned about dirt getting under those rasied sheets and making the flexing part of the head to heavy so you might run the risk of breaking the tie rod ends under the head. The sheets are hinged so they can be cleaned out. I will be curious to see if they do fill up with dirt. And if they do and it gets wet under there it won't be very easy to clean.
