I personally would not go that way. I prefer the nutill setup from Martin and Company in Elkton Ky. For late soy planting like we had this year you cannot beat your GP drill. The Kinze twin line is most popular here. The Case IH 1200 is still an unknown, not many new Deere planters here. I have been an county agent or ag teacher for 31 years.

I grow twin row corn with a modified IH 800. It works well. I get a 5 - 10% yield increase with twins.

this was the AC 770 AirChamp. About as good as you could get in that day. late 70's. When equipped with gauge wheels and Sunflower type anti blow out strips alongside openers it would get the job done quite well.

Thanks for the response Tbtran, Are parts still available for these plantersIJ Do you know if anyone tried to plant no-till with themIJ In the past I have always used the press wheel in no-till to control seed depth.
