I'll pass on the planter, but I'd kill for some of that extra water you have!! I'm in western Nebraska and we are SO dry here. If it doesn't rain soon, we won't even need to get the combines out. DAB

Corn has been in the ground 3 weeks tomorrow but it needs sun to germinate. Bean seed is safely in a building until ground temp gets to at least 50 degrees. The ground is so cold weeds arent germinating and summer birds havent arrived in southern Minnesota.

We are finished with corn in southeast Tennessee. Early corn is knee high to me and I am 6'4". We have no beans out yet. We still have to bale the wheat this week then we will get the beans out. We are still getting at least 1-2" of rain each week.

If it does not stop raining here (S Il) we will not get the combine out also. Very little corn planted (-10%),no soybeans, wheat is yellow from to much rain. I would give this rain to you til end of July then then I will need it back.

Well same situation in Eastern Gibson County, IN. I did find a small window on Sunday on high ground (still had some wet spots but landsman dragged through em ok). I'm not really sure if it was just to get the neighbors upset or my fear of pulling a new planter through the muddy spots, but I drilled beans. I'm sure I've never seen as many trucks ever on the road beside the field. Farming, the new spectator sport.

Done nothing this week except spray 50 ac. burndown was ready to start on beans but received .5 inch yesterday. Corn in ground seems to be rooting down but nothing emerged. Big problem is cold temps, 50's for this week. I am in s.e. MI.

We too are very wet and getting wetter if that's possible not much done except a little burndown agri-news today said Illinois is 56% planted WHEREIJIJIJ there is very little corn planted in my area and some that is planted will have to be redone (St.Clair Co. Southern Ill.)how long can you northern guys leave corn in the ground and not come up before it rots ,around here three weeks in ground and not up = replant either rotted or ate up by worms and bugs.I'll wait till the end of the first week of june before I give up on corn no chemical or chemical on corn ground others aren't as lucky are committed to corn already. good luck and be careful when we do get going Bob

well, here in Hunterdon County, NJ, things aren't moving either. All I've planted is 10 acres of oats back in the beginning of April. Wheat looks OK, hayfields look a little shorter than they should be. We had 4 inches of rain the other day, made everything muddy, but luckily not much flooding because the reservoirs were close to empty and caught a lot of water up in North Jersey and New York State. The beans and corn are still stacked up in the barn, along with the baler twine.
