That's because Gleaners don't need the plastic fingers! Those things were developed mainly for the STS's - when the steel fingers break off and go through the green rotor, they really raise H, E, DoubleHockeySticks! Start breaking tines off and then they explode. Just keep good finger guides on your auger and those fingers won't drop into the auger. lots cheaper and easier than fixing holes in the auger. We've never had a finger drop into the auger on any of our heads over the years - and we started out with an OlD head! Good luck- Tom langan

All of the guides are new. Our problem is rocks . . . lots of them. The trouble started when the K2 sucked up a rock. It popped the thresher door, so I stopped and pulled out any rock remains from in front of the cylinder. What I didn't realize was that the rock had bent an auger finger, which had managed to retract but then couldn't extend again because of the bend. Started going again and then noticed the finger sticking out through a hole that shouldn't be there. Got me thinking, too. Where would I find an auger for a 10' K2 platform if I ever needed oneIJ Couldn't quite get the gouge straightened out of the auger. I patched it up enough to finish beans tomorrow. Probably going to make a reinforcement strip to weld around the auger at that spot.
