Combines plastic feeder chains

We tried a set in an N6 probably 10 years ago now so I dont know what changes if any have occured. We only used them for a partial season because they would flex with the crop material too much and kept jumping the chains, also in durum that year the slats seemed not to grab @ the crop. I should say I have only grown durum a couple of times and this was one of them so I may not have the law of averages at work on the durum side, like I said this was 10 years ago so they could be totally different by now.

Replaced feeders two years ago, was looking at plastic but dealer against it. Said on Gleaners you want to go agressive as possible on the feeder chains. I can see where they wouldn't feed well, like cerials. The serrated steel ones sure work well.
