Without changing your header control system a series 2 floating head with a wobble box drive would be about the best you could do. A 300 series head that came out with the F3 uses electric solenoids to control the header control system as well as having it's own hydraulic system on the head to drive the reel. By the way does Mayer's still have the 1983 M3 and if so what for shape is it in. I have a F2 that is set up to run a 300 series head. I live 2.5 hours from Mayer's. I called them about heads, no idea what is on their lot. Sorry I can't help with the M3. JJ
