G'Day Tom and Co Just to let everyone know Im going to use a posifeed roller in our R62 this harvest to see how they go! Im very confident that it will only improve what I have already got with my feeding. I know Steven Schulz (inventor) fairly well and I can say that he's a very nice bloke, he live only 30-40 kms away from me, so I know the country and conditions that farms in which are basically the same as mine! He has got a patent pending on this invention and I have heard that Case are testing it in USA somewhere!!! (I think!!!)_ They look fairly simple in design, and for the price that they are I could not build it for that!!! (Plus you need to have it all lasered cut and jigged welded!!!!) It replaces the front feed drum in the feeder house and is basically a triangle tube with three (for large processor two for small processor) 100+ mm wide rings for the feed chains to run on! you can have it in the machine for an aggressive feed (grabs the material from the table auger) or reverses it around for a more passive feeding action. If I find that it does make a difference in the front feed drum area I might next season put one in the rear feed drum area to help move material along up the rear feed elevator!! Time will tell. Rolf PS: I do have the posifeed roller on my shed floor at the moment! but Im a bit reluctant to post a picture of it until Im given the OK from Steven!! He's away at the moment but should be back by next week. Rolf
