Potato Bugs

My family has a huge problem with potato bugs each year. We've dealt with them by picking them off our plants as soon as we see them, but I want to take a more proactive approach. Does anyone know how to keep the potato bugs from attacking our plants?

I'm not totally against pesticides, but I swear those darn bugs have evolved somehow and built up a resistance to them. They're kinda like those June bugs. You just got to pick them off.

June bugs are the death of me! We have not really had too many problems with potato bugs! I'm glad because we have way too many potatoes to pick the bugs off by hand.

My mom still picks all the bugs off of her potato plants by hand. I don't know of any pesticides that will get rid of them. I'm hesitant to use pesticides myself. I hope you find something that works!
