Combines power rock trap question

I'd stick with the 40 tooth. We had the 32 tooth on when we bought our machine and neighbors told us that the beater doesn't need to run that fast, so we went to the 40 tooth. my 2 cents good luck Brad NC. IN.

if my memory serves me right you never change the 40 tooth , wrong shaft, the rear shaft has 20 tooth on it, they change it to 30 for o-ring chain you can use 32 tooth for 60h chain because you need a half link for 32 spkt. slow speed is better for corn and also beans. don't self disintegrate at hugh speed. corn will ruin bearings and break trap door at hi speed. also keep paddles on rock trap shoved clear in on the slots for max. flow of crop..
