When it comes to cleaning off wood for the purpose of re-painting, which method do you prefer? They say pressure washing is touchy business and you could end up ruining something by way of too high of pressure. But sanding is more labor and time intensive.
Me, I go the pressure washing route and use a little less pressure than the job calls for.
Pressure wash, bleach any mold with a low pressure sprayer, then scrub with a broom, pressure wash again, let it dry, prime, paint... time consuming but gets the job done
Yes, if there's any mold then sanding is only half the job. You might be able to rent a washer in your area if you don't anticipate using it that often.
