Here in the UK it is only really axial flow converts who will buy an axial flow. People still think they chop straw and leek grain over the back because they are trying to drive them like a conventional. When we bought our axial flow in 1988 the Case demonstrator (John Machin) came up and told us to "keep her full and the engine working" thus we have very little grain loss. On the subject of straw any modern combine with its pre or post separation cylinders will chop straw. Hope this helps BB
