Combines pricing on case ih parts

I have never heard of this and am positive that our dealer does'nt do it. If it is a part that they stock and are just out of for some reason they don't even charge for the next day air. If it is the case we would get nailed most of the time as we are Pacific Standard Time. Sounds like some sort of scheme to increase profit margins. Jake

I have not herd of pricing going up later in the day. Our case-ih dearer charges seems to be what sugested retail is from case. Our JD dealer add 15-20% to most parts, I know becuse Jd web site has list price in the part secition. I would print off the part and price and take with, they lowered the prices as the entered the order.

Not only do they increase the price of a part, but if it has to be installed, it is book time plus 1 hour extra for the service manager.Even though he is not there. thank you for your response, i am going to ask a lOT more questions. At our local dealership.

I think your dealer is pulling a fast one. Unless things have changed in the last 18 months, the price will be the same all day long. 18 months ago I was a partsman at a CIH dealer. The only diiference should be the freight charges. Our daily order went in at noon. If it was ordered before noon it was $4.00. If it was ordered before 2:00PM it was $7.50 in freight. After 2:00 PM it is considered a unit down, and there is a 10% surcharge of the complete order that had to be sent in. All of these freight charges and surcharges are for parts that can be supplied by your regular CASEIH parts depot. If parts came from other depots from around the country, the charges increase. Hope this helps. P.S. I know that the local JD dealer does not charge freight charges, but they definitely add it into their retail price.

Thanks for the reply, I am thinking our dealer is trying to grab every dallor they can get, with all kinds of excusses. Right now i am so mad, i am trying to sell my 2188, then i hope i NEVER walk back in their door again.
