I think your dealer is pulling a fast one. Unless things have changed in the last 18 months, the price will be the same all day long. 18 months ago I was a partsman at a CIH dealer. The only diiference should be the freight charges. Our daily order went in at noon. If it was ordered before noon it was $4.00. If it was ordered before 2:00PM it was $7.50 in freight. After 2:00 PM it is considered a unit down, and there is a 10% surcharge of the complete order that had to be sent in. All of these freight charges and surcharges are for parts that can be supplied by your regular CASEIH parts depot. If parts came from other depots from around the country, the charges increase. Hope this helps. P.S. I know that the local JD dealer does not charge freight charges, but they definitely add it into their retail price.
