have you checked the condition of you pump drive belt and pulleyIJ if your running in the bottom of the pulley could be the problem,, if you need a pump try abilien machine, they have new pumps cheaper than agco,,, i have not tried one from them , i just noticed in the cataloge it was cheaper, I was looking at the pump for l combines with hydro ( known to most gleaner people as the big pump) all gleaners l3 and under with hydro use the same pump( the big pump),also all without hydro use the small pump.

Also check you popet valve on the header control, could have a small shaving pluging the thing up, somtimes just washing the the valve out with carb..cleaner will do the trick, you may not find the shaving or what ever is blocking it .....

Abilene machine is a lot cheaper on pumps and they are really good to. I bought one from them and have not had a bit of problems out of it. But before I bought a brand new pump I would check the relief valve first. I had one go out one time and it acted just like the pump was going bad.

I believe that ou should check the pulleys underneath the engine that drive the pump.

just a quick comment, it is not likely the relief valve as pump speed will probably not effect it. The relief valve would make a low moan or squeal sound if stuck open. Hope this is of help!
