I'm sure you would of noticed if bearings were going on gear that drives fuel pump gear so I have to say problem in pump. Only thing I know of that you could maybe fix in pump is the pin. I have heard of them breaking and you could be lucky that it hasn't spun in housing yet. Wire goes threw plug on bottom of pump. Remove wire then remove plug. Pin is directly above plug. Pin is likely not lined up with hole so you best loosen jam nut under the plastic cover that also should of had wire locking it. Once you loosen jam nut you can turn screw with allen wrench to line up with hole. Count exactly how many turns in or out (can't remember which way it usually is). You could use mirror to get a look at what you are doing. May need magnet to aid removal. This is touchy work for the unfamiliar so you maybe best call pump man and have him bring a pin. Good luck
