Combines propane added to air intake of a diesel engine

is it worth itIJIJ hell no!!!! i just saw a truck the other day come into the shop with propane hooked into the diesel, completely ruined, the engine couldn't even be used as a core!! propane to a diesel engine is what nitros is to a gas!!

stick on a nitrous system u can blow as much nitros u want in a diesel and it wont heurt it or thats wat i gaterd off a truck show dont quote me on it thoe mark

This works, but you have to be very careful or you will wind up with junk as "justapurrin" mentioned. The technical term for the is "fumigation" and you can find a lot of info on a google.com search if your interested. Don't know if anyone is selling kits anymore. I think one kit used to be called "Red Rooster" or maybe Torque Topper. I think use of turbochargers just about did away with propane injection systems.

bullydog makes propane injection kits. on forddiesel.com a guy made up his own system for very little money and it worked good by the sound of it.

John W. thanks for the link, an interesting read. I would like to try fumigation, but I guess if it was really safe someone would be making and promoting kits for farm machinery. I might try it on my Ford 3_4 ton, it just doesn't have enough poop to pull the camper into a head wind. Thanks, Neil
