Alan Have you figured it out yetIJ I havent removed a cylinder for almost 4 years so I really dont remember how we reinstalled it. And I dont remember how far we pushed it into the cage. Are we supposed to push it in until it stops or until it is flush with the outer bearingIJ Does the service manual offer any helpIJ Tom in MN

I think, or I hope I figured out the problem. After comparing this machine with my other combine I found that someone had put a thicker support plate in behind the gearbox and another on the stop sign. The added thickness threw the bearing position off. Who ever did it did such a good job that I didn't notice it at first. To fix the problem I reversed the bearing and put the locking collar on the inside. The manual does say to push the cylinder all the way in. Alan
