Combines PTO Input shaft seal

I have a 1460 leaking at the PTO and have been going to post and ask the same question. It has been discussed on here before but I didn't have this machine and didn't pay enough attention. I assume one would want to put a rear main in at the same timeIJ

A good idea to rep the flex-plate on the engine while you are there. Otherwise you will be doing the samething a less than 1000 hrs. The onel time that the shaft "moves" inside the bushing is when the springs are getting loose in the flex-plate.

We did ours 18 months ago, we also replaced the hydro splines and bush. We removed the hydro then the pto unit, its quite heavy, you have to chock up that end of the engine. putting it back is a bit like joining a clutch up. It took a couple of days to do from start to finnish, taking panels off is quite time consuming! Job wasn't difficult, just quite alot to do!
