Combines PTO leak

I did one on a 1460 a month ago, I pulled the motor, wasn't that bad as long as you have a good way to chain and handle it. Is your hydro leaking at allIJ If it is, I'd pull that off then pull the PTO unit. If no hydro leaks, I'd pull the engine. Be sure to test fit the new bushing on the end of the input shaft. Also I'd add a flex plate and rear crank seal to the parts list.

We pulled the pto off and had to change the pto shaft as it was badly worn, also changed the hydro drive shaft and pulley hub. It takes as long to get the guards off as the hydro and pto!!!

I have 3000 engine hours on our 2188 and plan on keeping it around a few more years. We are about done with it for this year and plan on checking the drive hub and splines. I have a leak and the back of the engine and have not yet determined if it is engine or hydraulic oil. If I remove the hydro to check the drive splines and hub, how much more work is it to get to the rear crank sealIJ I see the bellhousing holds up the rear of the engine and hope that will not have to be removed. Thanks.
