poly skids will help a little. Make sure the leader is not 'overcentering' because the bolt that serves as a stop has worn a groove in the arm and is going too low. Solution is to either dab a weld in the groove and turn the bolt_spacer 180degrees. Also set the springs up so the presure is less. It is a problem for all colors here in the mid south.

Didn't think about that. My brother and dad have been doing the harvesting and it works just fine going perpendicular to the planting direction until sundown and then that's it. Got rained out again today so that will give me something to look for. Thanks tbran and gpurrs for your help.
