The R series came out in 1987. The R50 was a totally updated machine from the N series.I think the R60 and 70 where pretty much the same as the N series but with the aircooled deutz motor correct me if i'm wrong fella's. The R50 deutz i think was 190hp and had the p3 chrome processor although now shorter in length with only one distribution auger and well everything else narrower than its bigger brothers. Not sure if it has the better sectional replacable accelerator lugs or not.Good if it has! Hopefully thats eng hours 2200 so separater area if maitained alright should'nt be to bad but don't know much about bean and US crop abrasive's not that many R50's in australia but did'nt here anything bad about them heard they were quite reliable and performed really well most had 27' head on them and some 30'.check alloy fan blades on engine i hear for wear.early models had a slipping belt drive on the distribution auger updated to a chain drive might not be applicable to USA conditions.later R's also have double V belt drive on the impeller to help with slippage with green or damp stuff we pull side off impeller and remove any wrapped stuff as this rubs and makes it slip.I think the main differences between R50 and R52 is newer cab, cummins eng and i'm not that sure about processor bits other fella's will know though.but i do know that i tried the rest and now enjoy the best right fella's. wow 10% premium one should get into auctions! good luck i could go on for hours.there is a lot of good mods in US for these machines to if needed not to mention top advice at this site regards Peng
