In real dirty beans, the air filter will get very dirty very fast. The engines requir a lot of air. I know the Deere also requires cleaning alomost every day. You may want to check out the precleaner between the air intake and filter housing, this can plug up. It is not the most fun to clean out, but could help.

Have you changed your filters recently. I change both inner and outer annually and then I can get away with once a day cleaning. Old filters have to be cleaned more often

My R-52 is a 1992 model I put new filters in every season, I was told there was a update kit,' I think it was the larger filter that was refered to by one of the responses, as far as adding a precleanerIJ I don't know how that can be done since the air intake comes directly from the rotary screen to the air filter. If this could be done I would appreciate any and all help!. Thanks again for the help and the advice.

on some of the lost posts this subject was covered in great length. First remove the tube that goes to the precleaner from the exhaust at the precleaner. Staying clear of moving parts, crank the engine and run at full RPM. The hose should mimic a vacuum cleaner hose. It should suck up loose dust from ones hands. If not you have a ventura problem in the exhaust. Replace the pipe or cut and install a RW ventura or one off an l3. If you have about 30 minutes, remove the precleaner - that is the cylinder that the sucker tube goes into- by loosening the clamps- and remove assy. Using a long nose blow gun clean out the unit by blowing into every nook and cranny of the precleaner. Sometimes dropping them on the floor -cushioned by rags to prevent bending- will help loosen the packed dust so it can now be blown out. On my personal machine this cut the air cleaner service in half. Have to clean about every three years or so.
