maybe they are like pullers they just need to have the bugs worked out before they kick but

I would say not common. Was right bearing pulled all the way against corner of hex when assembled or if you have later shaft was spacer installed between hex and bearing in the champher area. The champher area with spacer over it allow for more deflection without breakage. Some shafts have been installed without spacer thus to much flexing. You may have shaft that don't require spacer. You may want to loosen belt to see top pulley don't move around to much. If it does you can install thick washer with grease zirks that R60-70 with P3s use in that spot. The thick washer will prevent pulley from going croaked thus belt walking over top of pulley. Not enough tentioner for belt to walk over so belt will snap or stress shafts severely. Good luck
