From the sounds of it, you need a new fuel sender. I don't think that they can be repaired. We have had several crash on older equipment around the farm during the past few years. Usually they just read empty all the time. There was one occassion however, when a ground wire simply wasn't grounding well enough, some cleaning solved that problem. Good luck!
