Combines R 60 Hydraulic temp

If I remember right from my R72 with a Duetz. The Hyd oil is cooled by the fan that cools the motor. The cooler is located on the motor I think on the side closest to the rotor. Take All the covers off the engine and blow it out your problem should go away.

Cooler is the one directly under air cleaner. Might want to remove air cleaner to set cooler aside and give it a good wash with presurized water. Good be someone did a poor job with water and let it set up within as mud!! If motor is running cool I highly doubt the blade. Your right about the two lines from hydro. It should only be returning threw cooler unless oil is to cold which will let it go threw bypass valve. Unlikely but mayby something in bypass valve letting oil sneak back uncooled. Run in second gear with hydro. Might want to unhook power to auto header height contol module to be double sure it isn't causing n1 solinoid to stay on. Another thought is to turn auto auger swing to manual in case it is sticking on at times. Good luck

Thanks, I will do everything suggested. I have put a light inside engine shroud and I can see through every fin in cooler. Yesterday was cooler and alarm only came on 2 times and that was when I was transporting full bin a long way at near full stick on hydro (2nd gear). light went off augering grain into truck. Can bad hydrostat cause this problemIJ Though it drives good, reasonably quiet and plenty of power in mud and the like. Could put flow meter in cooler line. Do you know the spec on thisIJ Why did they put another 30 feet of hose on right side when they could of just plumbed bypass right next to filterIJ I adapted an older N header which had the reel speed on header to this machine. Any problem I could have caused doing thisIJ

Thanks for your response. Everyone is telling me that my problem is dirt. I feel I have exhausted that explanation. In fact I would think that dirt on the motor would increase air flow through hydraulic cooler on the back_left of the motor. I have also throughly cleaned A_C condenser. All my cleaning has not seemed to effect temp of hydraulic or where engine oil temp runs. (1_2 way through green on gauge)

Beings you are using old header with self contained hydralics be sure unused coupling for combine hydralic drive to header is screwed together all the way. Might just as well turn speed all the way slow also. I'm doubting hydro if it feels strong. Hopefully you threw out the right hint on using the old head. Here's hoping!!

Sorry no hope here. I removed reel speed unit from header and am using the combine reel power circuit. Guess I didn't make that clear. I finished cutting this evening. Worst ever for me. Avg 13 bushel of something not sure it was wheat. Only good thing about this harvest is that it was cool instead of the usual 100+ which really would have given me a problem with hydraulics overheating. Have till fall harvest to play with this thing. Thanks a million for your help.

Do you have acccess to a noncontact thermometerIJCheck oil cooler to see if all areas are same temp.Had a bad thermostat on a R50 and oil was basically by-passing the cooler.
