Cylinder_Rotor bearing left side of combine ,opposite of gearbox end.Its a 4 bolt cast flange that is bolted to the big stop sign shaped plate.Just ahead of the impeller.

Never happened to us. N7 5000 hrs. R7 5200 Hrs. R72 3400 Hrs. 97 R72 2500 Hrs. It could be your brg. was locked to shaft before stop sign bolts pulled up. That could result in high side load on brg. also make sure spline is going all the way on the drive shaft.

Checking side loading is excellent advice. Another thing to check is runout (wobble) on the rotor shaft with a dial indicator. Or if it is a problem you should be able to see it wobble when turning the rotor by hand after installing the bearing. I have never heard of that being a problem but there is always a first time. You should be able to install the bearing on the shaft by hand without driving it on with a hammer. There should be no rough spots on the shaft to cause the bearing to bind. like the others have said, I have never experienced this problem. Good luck and let us know what you find. Tom in MN

Some places have a laser aligner for the gearbox at the end of the rotor. Brother in law said that could help. Also may need to balance the rotor. Rotor is very easy to balance.

If you are breaking bearing holder it is likely from pressure on end cylinder, I'm guessing that bearing is still OK. Discharge beater not pulling material away, cylinder bars not extended to discharge, ect. What sort of crop would you be harvesting at what cylinder RPM and how much rubbleing. I have seen stop sign loosen up, bearing holder loosen up, and bearing holder break but that was when machine was about to explode from what was being shuved threw it.
