Here in Spain is an opposite case. The Deutz dealer is very good ( they sell deutz-fahr combines and repair deutz engines ) and the repairs is cheaper than john deere or new-holland. Very few Cummins on combines here but i heard that the repair are expensive on Case tractors. If you don't want to repair a deutz engine with original pieces you can buy other brand of repair kits, and it's more cheaper. I run a combine with a F6l913 on it with more than 10000 hours. Never had problems with it and never problems with overheating ( we harvest wheat at 40 C ). My dealer says that repair my engine ( repair crankshaft and camshaft, replace lube oil pump, pistons, cilinders heads, cilinder jackets and injection nozzles ) will cost to me 1,000,000 pts, more or less 5285 US $. How cost the same repair hereIJ
