I strongly suggest the full Hyper as shown in the tips section. We have both our machines this way and have been very satified. I do know of a few guys that have done the Gleaner suggested upgrades and have been satisfied too. Do you have corn_soybean machinesIJ If so Gleaner says to put extended cylinder bar kit in and replace two of the four reversers with forward bars. You should see improvement over stock but still no Hyper.

Our last R72 was a very late 1998 model and it came from Independence with the extender bars on the rotor. What is the problemIJ Have you added the shock kits the the feed conveyorsIJ Run the conveyors in fast speed all the time. Add a spring kit to both conveyor torque limiters. Run the drum stops in the corn position for beans. Eliminate two reverser bars. Thats about all we did to our '98 and it would take beans from a 30' head as fast as you could cut them. 6-7mph in 180 bushel corn.

Just curious....are you using an 8 row, 30" cornheadIJ I haven't quite been able to get up to 6 mph on 180 bushel corn and I think I should be able to. Just wondering what I'm missing.

POWER! I can run 4.5 or so then it just says it has had enough. Does running the feed conveyor chains on high speed help thatIJ May make sense as the layer of material would be thinner.

Run them in high speed(conveyors) all the time. We do. We run our concave at about 9-11 depending on moisture and run the rotor speed at 350+_- in 20%+ moisture and 280-320 in dry corn.
