Oatboy, Yes,you can interchange Denso starter with Delco. I can't remember the Delco series number(42MTIJ). Anyway,if you have the numbers off of the Denso starter you can call Harvey Bros. Electric in Galeburg,Il. and I am sure that they can give you a cross reference from Denso to Delco.(800-289-4002). Good luck, Hyper Harvest II
