Combines R42 52 capacity

Just went from an l3 to a 92 R52. There is no comparison. Cutting beans in tough conditions, lots of straw, and the R52 just walks right through, where as with the l3 I would have plugged the feeder beater half a dozen times. Easily run a steady half to one mph faster with same size head. The R52 came to us with alot of the hyper mods you read about here, along with brand new bars. I think even with an early 42 or 52, you would be very pleased with performance vs. the M3. Other benefits are a tighter cab (no dust),and quieter. The 500 series head feeds alot better then our 300 series did. Bigger grain tank.

There were alot of changes made from 1992 to 1993. 1993 models have the following improvements: HP increases, bin capacity increases, tailings and clean grain elevator capacities were increased, feed chains were speed up and made heavier, and all wooden idlers were removed. Another big year was 1995 to 1996. for 1996 models the cleaning shoe was lengthened 14 inches, with a 4 degree slope and the speed was increased. The R52 got a 230 hp cummins. 1998 - painted combines, smartrac lTM became available, improved AHHC, heavier finals, increased fan speed to 1250 rpms, and added shock absorbers to feed drums. 2001 extendes cylinder bars became standard, and the main clutch shaft was improved. In 2002 the gearbox was changed to ductile steel, a remote grease fitting was added for the cylinder coupler, and double acting steering cylinders replaced the single acting ones.
