Combines R42 feeder house plugging

By far the most common reason for feederhouse plugging is uneven feeding. You've got to feed even to give the rest of your machine a chance! Are you running a standard flex headIJ If so, you can improve feeding several ways 1) install hose modification as seen in tips section, 2) install Johnson rockguard_grain saver, 3) install Gleaner hump kit, and 4) buy a Crary Air Reel. They all help. Good luck

If you are considering a hump kit, go for the loewen one, as it has a higher hump which provides a better feed than the standard hump kit from Gleaner.

Been there! Way too much in the past. You NEED the 3" suction hose behind the cutterbar to make your reel sweep those short beans in with each pass of a reel bat! My guess is the short beans are piling up until the reel grabs them and feeds a slug that plugs your feederhouse, rightIJ We went through many years of that sort of thing and more than a few new feeder $lip clutche$ before we tried the hose mod last fall. After trying the hose, we plugged the feeder TWICE All FAll, once being human error. Just do it... You won't regret it. Good luck! Tom langan

look down below. You'll find several references to putting a pipe or hose behind the sickle to stop stones and inprove feeding beans into the header. Or you can buy one from Johnson. Here is their site: http:__www.wajohnson.com_
