Combines R42 reel speed

raise is too fast. should take 5-6 seconds to fully raise. Screw in adjusting screws on valve block. As to blocks, generally grain is everything except corn. HOWEVER we suggest turning the corn side so as to raise the drum, then trimming off the upper side to allow drum to float up to max. Also there are several different drum stops depending on drum diameter, make sure they are same left_right as I have seen mismatched ones from not paying attention to this little item. The reel could be a stuck priority valve, roll the unload auger out - fi the reel stops it is hyd, if it doesn't then it is electric. Find the power source for the reel module and refuse it to a separate 12v source.

I can't see where flow to header lift can affect reel speed for they operate off different sections of hydralic pump. At any rate you should slow down full header raise and full header drop to about 8 seconds with the control screws in header valve. This will prevent header from hickuping in auto mode. I have to think your problem is electrical. Remove and clean grounds on floor of side counsel. You could eliminate AHHC from system by unpluging three terminal connectors coming out of hydro handle. leave plugs that go to HHC module unpluged and plug hydro handle plug into remaining plug. Try lifting header again to see if it affects reel. If it don't then hook plugs back up the way they were. Now you'll need to check currant supply if you still have problem. I believe there are two power sources that feed these systems. Good try just remove and replacing fuses for there is likely poor connection causeing to much voltage drop when running lift function. RandR fuse will sometime cure this. As for drum stops we leave in grain position for all crops. We need it this way for the small grains that can sometimes run heavy return. Return dumps onto feed chain when you have tailings return to cylinder and if fair amount of grain drops into feeder after feeder is emptied out we need chain close to floor to get the flow going again. For you guys in mainly corn and beans I'm all for putting in corn position with top of block cut off to get same lift as if you had in grain position. Hopefully your 42 has the feeder shocks installed. If not I'd get them ASAP. Good luck
