It does sound like your high idle is a bit fast, i think you can adjust that on the throttle cable, check with your dealer first as there could be something else wrong, possibly. As far as putting poly skid shoes on, that is the cheapest and best way to keep your metal skid shoes in good shape. I would go for the poly skid shoes before the metal ones get too thin, we run them right from new and when they wear out we put new ones on right away. Hope this helps some.

high idle should be 2710. Exactly. No it will not come apart. At least due to RPM. Industrial eng. dealers don't agree BUT they are used to 14,000 hour engine life on the DTz's. High RPM setting on BFl913c will shrink eng life 30-40% old experts say over the idustrial settings. Don't think I have seen too many 6000 hour combines at least with the engines still virgin.......therefore....don't worry, be happpy and just concentrate on keeping her serviced.
