Combines R50 feederhouse belts

I have a 1990 R50 s_n 3518. Which belts are you haveing a problem withIJ Do you have fixed or variable driveIJ left or right sideIJ If it's a variable you can step on the belt to see if the driven sheave opens or is sticking. On the right side, are the lower drive and driven in the same (inner or outer) groovesIJ Which crops_headsIJ

I bet it is front right belt set bothering. Have him order a power band belt 71170679. A higher quality of the same belt is 71364514. Cheaper belt will do fine on that machine. We do this for all machines with double belt drive in corn and sunflowers. Stalks get up and knock the belt or belts off. No problem with power band where the two belts are bonded together. '90 and newer machines have a single C width belt and have no problems. Have your brother over and check out the hyper mod site. likely plenty of things he could do to wake up the machine. Good luck
