Remove the panel and have a look, at the very least it'll give you an oportunity to see what's been lurking around up there. If you do find a loose connector, use a VOM to check for voltage when the seperator clutch is engaged. You'll then experience an Ah Hah moment. On the back side of the panel you should also see the knock out where the Sep. Hourmeter should go, right next to the Eng. Meter.

Why dont you just look in your parts book for the correct module that has both hour meters. And then call your local salvage yard to see what is available. I would guess you should be able to buy a complete module for not much more than you would have to pay for the hour meter and all you will have to do is plug it in and attach 4 Phillips head screws.

If I were in your socks I would buy a complete module from a salvage yard. Then all you have to do is remove 4 screws and unplug 1 connector to remove your old one-meter module and reverse the procedure to install the new two-meter one. I might have one in an unheated building that we got from a machine we parted out if you are interested.
