yup, they are connected. What is happening is there is a poppet seat on the rate of raise or lower (I"M at home so can't remember) that has an oring around it and it has worn to the point that the poppet is moving with the seat. One poppet has no seat the other does so look at parts break down to see which one is which. While you are in there replace the oring around the poppet with the new square cut oring off the latest r62... makes it work snappier.
