1994 R62. We removed strippers and seemed to have no negatives. Our conditions in wheat and small grains are hot, dry and brittle. Could be a different story in tough ropey conditions. loosen the bolts that hold the slats or bars onto the feeder chains. Run for a couple of minutes and retighten bolts. This allows the chains to settle into their natural position. Do this with new chains and again after a season's work which allows the chains to wear in. May cure the chain jumping problem. Junk for your crop. Could give lots of trouble. Be double sure there is nothing bolted to bottom of square tube in front feeder also. Do you have rock sump installed or do you have hump bolted onto top of rock doorIJ We prefer the hump unless you have lots of rocks. Also be sure chains are in fast position (belt in large diameter on front shaft and smaller on back groove on single belt drives). Many guys don't understand which is the driven and driving pulleys so they get the speed wrong. Check the tention of the belts from the clutch forward. lots of times the corn varible is not adjusted proper and belt slips just enough for things to plug up. Good luck
