Combines R52 R62 Pros and Cons

We run a 6 row cornhead on our R52,this fall ran at 4.5 to 5 mph in 200 bushel corn. ours is an earlier one, doesnt have the longer sieves. Brother has a R62 with a 6 row head,in my opinion isnt big enough head, cant keep it full enough to do a good job . We run a 520 bean head which is just about right for us. He runs a 25 footer real easy. Either one is good choice depending on how many acres you have to run. Good luck....iowaR52

I have an R60, which is, as you know, the predecessor to the R62. A 50 would have enough capacity for my operation except for 1 factorthe grain tank. I can do full rounds in good corn with the 60. The 50 would require dumping on the go into a grain cart or have another truck parked on the other side of the field. Only you can decide if this is an important factor in your operation. I have a R52 with a 6row corn head and 520 grain head. like Tom says larger grain tank would be nice, but is it worth $13,000.00. That was the price difrence when I bought mine. Randy
