Here is a link to some old PAMI combine evaluations that were done in Western Canada some years ago. Machines were tested in wheat, barley and canola and they are all compared to a "reference" combine with was actually a JD 77xx combine. Don't list your 52 or 62, but a R72 is on the list as is a 9500 and 1666. They have stopped doing these tests due to the cost so there is nothing newer than this to compare them in a real objective way.

My bet is allisfarmer will and can stand proud next to his machine in all catagories as compared to any other color of comparable size. The stock '98 machine will do well but oh how a couple hyper mods would help. Thanks for the link to PAMI. I read awhile on the 1993 R72 and oh could I relate. Results didn't look so bad but boy they would of been so much better with feeder shocks, all forward extended cylinder bars, and not to mention a few other tricks. If PAMI was as lagit as it looks to have been it would put to sleep some of the misleading claims you see coming out of at least one of the major players mouthes. To bad it got to expensive to keep it up. I guess the best thing to do these days is to get machines in question together in same field in your average crops and conditions. Now if the Gleaner or some other color didn't stand up to your expectations I'm sure you can find some help on this site. Have a good day.
