Thanks Tom. I was the high bidder yesterday. Brought the 30 ft. 330 head home and going back today for the combine. Will have lots of questions for you all as I make the transition from an l2. Also have to sell my '82 l2 c_w pickup head and 24 ft. straight header. later.......Cam

Congrats on your new combine! We have an 87 R-60 too. It has been a very good machine. For two seasons we have run it fully Hyperized. That has greatly improved its performance and I believe will extend its life due to not working machine very hard. We harvest only corn and soybeans so I dont have experience in other crops, but I strongly suggest Hyperizing if in those crops. Maybe check it out for other crops. A couple of things I suggest to look at on the engine. Check to see if centrifugal oil filter has been cleaned. I think the book says to clean every 1,000 hours. As long as you are in there look at cooling fan for excessive wear (the specs are in the book). They will start to run hot when the fan cant move enough air. Great engine, very fuel efficient. Good luck. Brian

Slick buy i'd say. seen machine like that in australia for $12000.00 No pickup front either. So the deutz motors ok heyIJ priced a new gleaner latelyIJ I'm always on the lookout for a newer model. Would going to R series from N on right machine be worthy or keep on with the old girl no complaints there. Deutz air cooled seems attractive and V8 ones sound nice.

It's a fibreglass bin cover, I can't find a manufacturer name plate on it. It's coming off and will end up in my bone yard. later....Cam
