Make sure all the wires are connected down on the header clutch, my 62 threw a piece of mud off the tire and knocked one of the ground wires off the clutch.

I'm not sure if the R60 has the seat interlock module that the newer ones have, but that could be the source of the problem. Make sure that the brush holder on the end of the cluth shaft isn't the problem and make sure that the ground wire isn't broken. On the other end electricity should go directly from the switch to the clutch or to a seat interlock module which directs the flow to the clutch. Start checking from each end of the circuit and try to eliminate the problem in the middle. It's hard to explain over the internet but I have found that most of these problems are caused by the simple things. Hope this helps.
