Combines R60 unloader clutch vibration

I know this is simplistic, but is there a constant drag or does it have a high spot when rolled by hand. There are shims to set the gap (.030-.060 is real nice) but if the magnet is not concentric in its plane of travel that will have to be corrected or it will snap the tabs on the armature eventually. The hub fits on the tapered shaft, is this up tightIJ, shaft bentIJ The armature should not be the problem unless it is rubbing constantly ; this CAN be pried away at the closest point thus slightly bending the tabs to get it back to match the magnet.

tbran, thanks for the reply. I checked the shaft and magnet and they run true when turned by hand. The air gap has some variation in width around the armature and is wider than .060 . If I hit the unloader switch on and off a few times while unloading, the clutch will even out and run with less vibration. Would taking out some shins helpIJ

So you say it vibrates empty or not engaged and engaged under load! Are you sure clutch bearing isn't loose on shaft or in housingIJ Bearing should be just fit to tight on its inner and outer race. Good luck
