Combines R62 Cummins

Cummins has put two new programs in our's. Had same trouble as what you are discribing so they came out and put in a new program. after that we couldn't pull it off high idle more than 20 or 30 rpm, but there was a failed code flashing on the column. The second program they put in will let the engine fall off a bit more but still holds plenty of grunt and no more flashing failed.

I have a new R-62 with the electronic Cummins and it doesn't hold even speed either. It almost acts like it gallups at times. The old engines were better and took alot less fuel.

Have your dealer call out Cummins and check it. This is not normal! Use email if needed. Kelly

Same problem here. They surge once in awhile. Its like you catch the engine by surprise and then it over revs a little to catch up. These new ones do have more power though.
