I am also curious about this same topic, since I am a yearling on these Rotory Gleaners. I would like to add to this if I may, do these same changes work as well for an R42 as it does for the larger processors such as mailman13's R62IJ Thanks!
Can't say much about four bar setup for I haven't tried. I'd go all wide rasp for the corn and beans. We have not sold any narrow rasp for 10 or 15 years even though we have some very tough to thresh small grains. I have a few unique setups out there and that is every other bar over concave are wide and then narrow rasp. I like the looks of this for the very hard to thresh small grains and I fell the narrow rasp bars stay in better shape longer. Seperator side are all wide rasp with sweeps. This seams to be best setup for the greenest and most tender straws if still using the Gleaner eight bar rotor in our area. I have not been around CDF enough yet but Bison is seeming to have very few if any downfalls. lots more info will be in after harvest. Best of luck
